Mechanical grouping of batteries - provides integral electrical connection and has single piece folded plastic frame

The equipment is for grouping and retaining in position of electrical batteries with electrical interconnection between batteries made integral with the retaining arrangement. Groups of batteries are held by a moulded rectangular plastic frame divided by thinned sections acting as hinges into a central section (1) and two identical wings (2). The central section fits over the top of the batteries, i.e. that end having a central stud electrode, and has a diagonal conductor (5). Two stud electrodes (4) provide external electrical connection points. The two wings have cut-away rectangular windows and fit over the sides of the batteries on inward facing lips (6) at the free end of each wing clipping under the bottom rim of the batteries. Springs ensure electrical connection between the battery and frame electrodes.
