The safety stud is fixed on hard surfaces on which games are played in the open air, and makes them less slippery. It consists of a supple stud (1) with its upper surface flattened andits peripheral cylindrical base (2) being turned in at the bottom. A fixing plate (4) rests on the edges of the stud and has a threaded rod (5) attached to its centre which is fixed to the surface (6) by a nut (7). The edges of the stud are thus held on the surface.
