Jig for making triple layer welded joints - between two layers of plastic coated fabrics to make rapidly strengthened seams in clothing e.g. for sleeve shoulders

Welded joints made in coated fabrics for garment seams at junctions likely to be subjected to tension, are made using a jig to first make a lap weld between two pieces of fabric, then fold the added piece over a thin template before welding the folded layer to form a seam of treble fabric thickness. Used for the seams for e.g. raglan-style sleeves on coats or jackets as a rapid alternative to reinforcement of simple lap joints by stitching and postwelding.
