The quartz holder is used for mounting on a printed circuit board. It is intended to provide a quick and securing mounting which also prevents any shift in the component. This eliminates any stresses on the contact pins of the quartz. The holder consists of a rectangular baseplate (5) with clamps (6, 7) which will hold the quartz (1) in position. The stops (8, 9) will retain the quartz in a given position. The baseplate has two solder tags (10) which are used to adjust and fix the holder (2) onto the printed circuit board (3). The clamps are made with folded spring-loaded strips (6, 7) along the longitudinal and transverse sides of the baseplate.
