<p>There are perforated sheet metal clamping pieces gripping lengthways aligned flexible rods. There is a covering 'C'-shaped profile strip, in the balustrade for a staircase comprising vertical bars and screwed handrail. A cohesive row of clamping pieces (15) is formed by a sheet metal strip bent inwards three times from each edge, to provide two box-shaped holders (21, 22) for the rods (23). Cut-in sections, from one edge of the strip, are provided in the area of the holes (16), for bending the strip together with the rods, at least where the handrail is curved. The handrail, flexible for installation, is made up from light, easily assembled parts, becoming rigid when completed.</p> |
