The main switching transistor (2) controls the current in the primary winding (4) of a transformer whilst the secondary winding (5) feeds the output rectifier (6). The output (UA) is fed back through a regulator (7), opto-coupler (8) and pulse modulator (9) to control the switching of the main transistor. An initial start impulse is provided by a circuit connected to the high voltage input (10, 11, 14, 18, 21), and the pulse cut off at the required time by a level detector (29). The object of the dc to dc stabilised power supply circuit giving a step down in voltage is to eliminate the need for separate high voltage semiconductor components and separate transformers. Such components are often required for generating an auxiliary dc power supply for the control of the stabiliser.
|
