Repairable and irreparable adhesive closures are formed for despatch bags, letter envelopes and other packages. There are two contact surfaces and there is an adhesive layer on one of the closure surfaces. This faces the other surface opposite or from an adhesive layer on each of the two closure surfaces. A further contact plane is positioned at a distance from at least one of the two contact surfaces (5, 7) and largely parallel to this contact surface on the coordinated closure surface which can be brought into an adhesive contact with the opposite contact surface by a light contact pressure to make a repairable adhesive closure suitable for printed matter. To form an irrepairable adhesive closure used especially for sealing letters the additional contact plane (9) together with the contact plane (7 or 5) is brought into an adhesive contact with the contact plane opposite by the application of a firm contact pressure. |
