<p>The housing (1) protrudes from the surface of the car floor (3) into the car interior and is sized sufficiently to accommodate transmission elements including a gearbox. The housing is fitted between the upturned sheet metal edges of the middle part of the floor and a tunnel-shaped cover (4) protrudes through the floor opening, where the edges of the cover (4) are turned off in horizontal direction. They form flange surfaces (6) shaped in such a way that longitudinal cavities (5) are formed for increasing stiffness of the entire structure. The tunnel is open towards the road surface and cross bar (7) is bolted to the flange. The space thus accommodates the drive shaft transmission assembly (2) mounted on legs (11), resting on the cross bar by intermediary of antivibration pads.</p> |
