Wood structures are insulated against moisture by coating with a moisture-hardenable single component polyurethane resin. Opt. the polyurethane resin may contain fungicidal and/or insecticidal wood preservatives, and may be applied subsequently. The moisture initially present in the wood remains almost unaltered on storage, transportation, etc. of the wood.
