<p>The device is for safeguarding a window wing, with limited tilt, inserted without hinges in a fixed frame, esp. in a cellar, animal shed or similar, from being lifted out by wind or other forces. In the closed position the wing (11) is secured by a lateral protrusion (19) engaging a guideway (17) which runs freely in the direction of tilt about a bottom edge (14). The protrusion is at such an interval from the open end of the guideway that, when the wing is tilted, it is released from the guideway only on the far side of the tilt position limited by the extension mechanism (21). This provides reliable security.</p> |
