A closing spring, hydraulic damper, and closing spindle coupled to the door leaf for transfer of rotary moment, are incorporated in the device for automatically closing a door. The spindle has an inner member in the housing, form-locked to an outer member connected to a closing arm. The inner member (30) is sealed relative to the housing, and is drawn upwards to the housing surface. It incorporates a blind hole type recess (31, 32). The outer member (34) is detachably coupled to the closing arm. The recess and the outer member's base lug (33) may engage in a truncated-pyramid configuration. This can be readily subsequently adapted to an existing structure, and the housing is protected from intrusion by foreign bodies.
