PURPOSE:To obtain a minutely sintered ceramic having improved flexibility, impact resistance, limiting temperature for use, by blending a silicone resin with fluorine mica, followed by heating. CONSTITUTION:100 Parts by wt. of a composition consisting of 5-90wt% (said content) of a silicone resin and 95-10wt% of fluorine mica, e.g., fluophlogopite, BaMg3 (Al2Si2O10) F2, or KMg25(Si4O10)F2 is blended with approximately not more than 80 parts by wt. of an inorganic material, e.g., a mineral from the ceramic industry, a naturally occurring laminar material, frit, etc., and a mineralizer, e.g. LiF, NaF, K2 TiF6. The blend is formed into a desired shape. The molded article is heated gradually under an oxidizing atmosphere with a rising temperature of about 2-4 deg.C/minute in a temperature range of 200-400 deg.C, the temperature is raised relatively rapidly at a temperature above 450 deg.C, and the molded article is heated for 1-2 hours at a temperature range of the fluxing point of fluorine mica + or -70 deg.C to finish sintering. |
