<p>The resilient inlay is completely impermeable to air on the underneath. It is only partly impermeable on the upper side and has a cavity (4, 5) extending over its entire length with air inlet openings in the heel area and air outlet openings (16) over the remaining area. At least one non-return valve (6) is mounted between the two parts of the cavity on the inlay (1) to open in the direction of the air outlet openings (16) so that when treading on the heel the air inlet openings are closed and the air in the cavity into which these inlets open is forced through the non-return valve to the air outlets. As the foot rolls over the ball area the air at the front cannot flow back because of the non-return valve so that it all escapes via the outlet openings. In this way all damp air is removed and cannot return to mix with the pumped in fresh air.</p> |
