<p>A spray guard (1) has transverse ribs (2) which face inwards when the former is in position around pipe connection flanges. This provides a shield against a possibly dangerous spray, in the event of a leak between the flanges. Through the gaps between the ribs and the flanges, periodic visual inspections can reveal the presence of any leaks in good time. The ribs can have a height of 0.5-15 mm. The guard is esp. for use on pipes carrying corrosive or aggressive fluids.</p> |
