Clothes dryer - with condenser housing and trays in staggered design for simplification of tooling

Parent Patent described a clothes dryer with a condenser, consisting of trays and guide plates for a coolant, through which the exhaust air from the drying space passes in a zigzag path. The trays and guide plates are difficult to produce and this difficulty can be overcome by staggering the side walls of the housing for the trays parallel to the direction of air flow in a stepped fashion. The widths of the trays are correspondingly increased in proportion to the increasing distance of the side walls. The tools used for the mfr. of the trays and the housing are now much more simple. The workpieces are easier to detach from the tools and can even be produced by a deep drawing operation.
