Roller shutter type swimming pool cover - has swivelling spacers as side stops at buoyant slat ends

Buoyant flat slats, aligned across the direction of movement, are joined together to make up the cover for a swimming pool, which rolls up on a spindle like a roller shutter. Swivelling spacers (2) are fitted at the ends of at least one bar (1), so as to act as stops relative to the pool sidewalls when the cover is floating. When the cover is rolled up these swing into the plane of the bar. Their swivel axes (3) are pref. horizontal and at right angles to the direction of movement. There is no possibility of the cover running over the pool edges.
