The heat exchanger has a vessel sealed off from the outside and with an inlet union(s) for the steam etc. as well as with one or more further unions. Parallel heat exchange tubes are contained in the vessel, acting between steam and air. Each tube is of the capillary type, only its one half (4a) acting as an evaporator running inside the vessel (1). Its other half (4b) acting as a condenser, extends through the vessel wall (2) outwards via a gas-tight joint, and is subjected to the cooling air on the outside. While the steam union forms the inlet of the heat exchanger, another union (18) forms the condensate outlet branch.
|
