Securing clamp for rear seat squab - with sprung metal bar inside squab to grip seat support claw

A snap fastening clip for the rear seat squab of a car with a sprung metal bar (7) under the squab and extending with its free end out of a slot in the side of the squab. The inside end is secured by a clamp (13) in the base of the squab. The bar engages a retaining claw (3) in the base support of the seat, extending into the squab via a locating hole (2). The sprung bar provides a simple retainer which is secured as the squab is dropped into place. The squab is secured in an impact and provides improved support for the passengers.
