<p>A tractor moves each long timber into position to be worked on by a stationary paring appliance, in the system for removing bark from tree trunks. The hydraulically inclinable tree holder is built onto the tractor on the gear pivot shaft via reduction gear and bearing with cross hinge-joints with the timber fastened in its tube by spindles. The paring appliance comprises a semicylindrical cage with blades attached, firmly anchored but turning and tilting in a cylinder on a base plate. It is closable by means of a lever via a stirrup piece fitted with blades. The barking and forwarding machines are combined as a single adaptable functional entity.</p> |
