<p>The connector extends in three dimensions, being for grating structures and comprises a centre-piece to which a number of radial bars converge, forming the mesh of the grating. The centre-piece comprises two similarly-shaped plate-type discs (1, 2) with recesses at opposite points round the periphery (1a) forming radiating seats centre on the centre of the piece. One at least of the seats has an axis inclined to a plane at right angles to the axis of the piece. A number of adaptors (9) fit in the piece, each having a part with a first portion (10) of cross-section corresponding to that of the grating bar (8), to which it is pref. welded. A second portion (11) protrudes coaxially to the first and fits in the seats in the discs being secured by transverse setscrews (12) or other suitable fixing devices.</p> |
