<p>The adhesive-covered sole can be pressed with the heel on to the lasted upper by the press wherein between the hydraulically operated press plates (2, 3) in the sole and heel area near the arch there are several strips (4) which lie close together side by side across the sole. One or more of these strips (4) can be impinged upon by hydraulic pressure so as to move vertically together with the press plates (2, 3) for the sole and heel. Each two strips can be connected together by a double-armed articulated lever and connected to the piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder. Since the greatest difference in the shape of the lasts concerns the difference in height in the instep area it is now possible to adapt to this difference by using the required number of strips (4).</p> |
