<p>A series of preformed wall members that are set edge to edge in offset relation, with interfitted convex and concave edges, are joined by a unique arrangement. A series of passages extends through the thickness of each wall member of each pair adjacent their edges, and elongated flexible tension members loop through a corresponding pair of passages and lie against the exposed convex surface of the respective wall member. These tension members are effective to produce substantially uniform compressive engagement between the engaged pairs of edges, independent of the angle of offset of the members. In the preferred embodiment each flexible tension member extends from a first face of a first panel, through a thickness of the panel, thence through the thickness of the second panel, thence through a thickness of the first panel to the second face thereof and has two discrete terminations at the respective faces. The convex edge of a wall member is of the form of a cylindrical arc of the order of 270.degree. of a cylinder and the respective passage extends between the ends of the arc.</p> |
