<p>Non-passivated steel is produced from molten steel of carbon content 0.10% by wt. by adding an amount of vanadium to the steel at a point preceeding the filling of the mould, so as to provide a vanadium content of =0.02% by wt. in the casting, after which the mould is filled with molten steel and an amount of Al is added to ensure an ultimate Al content of =0.02% by wt.</p> |
