A combined identification and contact protection is applied to a terminal block in telecommunications equipment. The protection identifies in the telecommunications equipment incoming alarm leads or corresponding special leads and protects against unintentional contact with screw heads that belong to terminal screws arranged in a shared plane on the terminal block, and any stripped parts of the said alarm lead or corresponding lead screwed fast to the terminal block by means of the terminal screws. The protection comprises a cover part 1 arranged to cover the said screw heads and any stripped parts. The cover part is connected to a fixing part that has a first part 4 extending essentially at right angles in relation to the said plane and which in the said applied position helps to retain the cover part on the terminal block. The cover part is arranged to cover the heads of only one individual pair of terminal screws that are located next to and beside each other on the terminal block. The fixing part extends from the mid parts of the cover part to achieve free ends on the cover part. The fixing part is constructed with one or two arms 5, 6 that are essentially at right angles in relation to the first part 4 and extend essentially parallel to the cover part, which arm(s), together with the cover part, clip or grip around a terminal block part in the protection's applied position. <IMAGE> |
