<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an increased brake force by oscillating a yoke, enclosing a rim portion of a disk within a central opening thereof, around a fixed pin located at one side of the disk. CONSTITUTION:When hydraulic pressure is delivered into an oil chamber 11, a piston 10 is forwarded in a cylinder 9 and pushes an inner-side friction pad 12 against a disk 1. In this case, a cylinder body 8 is fixed to a yoke 2, therefore, the yoke 2 oscillates around a fixed pin 4 by a reaction force thereof in a direction shown by an arrow sign B within a plane perpendicular to a rotating plane of the disk 1. Thereby, a friction pad 13 at an outer-side is pushed against the disk 1 through the yoke 2 and the disk 1 is braked. In this case, brake torques, acting on the friction pads 12, 13, are operating on the yoke 2 and are being received by a support 3 through the fixed pin 4 finally, however, the location of the fixed pin 4 is deviated to one side of the disk 1, therefore, an increased brake power may be obtained.</p> |
