PURPOSE:To simplify construction and improve reliability without untilizing a position detector detecting a gap between a supported body and an electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:When a supported body 1, dropped from a position shown by h1, is going to move toward h2, an electric potential of a point a is increased. Then, a waveform, smoothed through a rectifier circuit 11 and a high-frequency cut-off filter 12, is differentiated by a phase compensating circuit 4. A D.C. electromagnetic coil 10 is excited in accordance with an amount of the differentiated value. In this case, a response for the increase of the attracting force in the D.C. electromagnetic coil 10 through the differential operation is faster than responses of attracting forces in A.C. exciting coils 9a, 9b for the drop of the supported body 1. On the contrary, in case the supported body 1 is attracted further from the position h1, the response for a decrease of the attracting force in the D.C. exciting coil 10 is faster than the response for a decrease of the attracting force in the A.C. exciting coils 9a, 9b. Therefore, the location of the supported body 1 may be determined easily.
