PURPOSE:To provide a corrosion resistant, high permeability alloy of a specified compsn. consisting of Si, Al, Mg and the balance based on Fe. CONSTITUTION:This alloy is a Fe-Si-Al alloy whose corrosion resistance has been enhanced without deteriorating its superior magnetic characteristics. The alloy consists of, by wt., Si 3-16%, Al 2.5-17%, Mg 0.001-3.5% and the balance based on Fe. It may contain 0.001-5% in total of one or more out of Co, Ti, V, Cr, Mo, W, Ni, Cu and Ge each 0.01-5%, Ca, Mg, Zr, Nb, Hf and Ta each 0.01-3.5% and Y, Re, P, B, Au, Ag, a rare earth element and a platinum group element each 0.001-2.5% as auxiliary components. |
