<p>PURPOSE:To remove the alkali sulfate accumulated within a circulating absorbing liquid out of the system without needing a special removing process by adding the alkali sulphosuccinate as a desulfurizing agent to a alkali sulfite containing absorbing liquid. CONSTITUTION:The boiler exhausted gas 1 containing SO2 and O2 is introduced into an absorbing tower and contacted with an aqueous solution of pH about 6.1 containing Na2SO3, NaHS, Na2SO4 and sodium sulphasuccinate to remove SO2. A part of a circulating absorbing liquid of an absorbing tower is taken out and is introduced to a reaction chamber 5, and the acid sulfite salt in the absorbing liquid is double decomposed by CaCO3 supplied by a line 6 to separate CaSO4 and the accumulated Na2SO4 is separated out as a plaster, thereafter these separated products is filtered by a filter machine 7 and the filtrate is returned to the absorbing tower.</p> |
