<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the heat resistance at the assembling of the liquid crystal element and obtain the liquid crystal display device of stability with time, long life, high characteristic, colorless and high display quality by using polymetallosiloxane for orientation control films. CONSTITUTION:The polymetallosiloxane shown by the formula [R1-R4 are (substituted) phenyl, diphenyl, naphthyl, substituents are halogen alkyl substituted phenyl groups; and alkyl groups, and R1-R4 are mutually the same or mutually different, such as alkoxy, aryl; Me is metals (Al, Ti, etc.)] are formed as orientation control films on the transparent electrodes 2 of substrates 6 having polarizing films 1. Since the control films 3 are highly heat resistant, frit glass which permits heat sealing at 350-470 deg.C may be used for the sealing material 5 of the substrates 6. The stability with time and long life may be obtained by the glass seal 5 and superior display quality may be obtained because polymetallosilixane is coloress.</p> |
