PURPOSE:To obtain hollow fiber membranes having improved separation and permeation while retaining the durability, by spinning a solution of cellulose triacetate and a specific additive in a specified solvent. CONSTITUTION:Cellulose triacetate and an organic acid, e.g. epsilon-amino-n-caproic acid, are dissolved in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone to give a spinning solution with an acetate content of 30-60wt% and an organic acid content of 0.2-3.0wt%. The solution is then extruded through a spinneret into the atmosphere of a gas, and dipped in an aqueous coagulation bath to form hollow fiber membranes, particularly hollow fibers. |
