PURPOSE:To obtain the slag having a good fluidity, by using soluble agent composed of sodium or potassium feldspar as main raw material in order to prevent the slag solidification by CaO desulfurizing agent floating at the time of carrying out desulfurization of blast furnace pig iron. CONSTITUTION:Sodium or potassium feldspar contained SiO2, Al2O3 keeping nearly well-balanced state and also, contained suitable quantity of alkali component, such as Na2O, K2O, is selected as raw material of the above mentioned soluble agent. That is, the soluble agent is prepared so as to be kept the ratio at SiO2; Al2O3 (60-75);(40-25) and melting point at about 1000 deg.C making constitution of blast furance slag as CaO;39-35%, SiO2;36-42%, Al2O3;13-22% [In 1971 edition, Tekko Binran Data (Steels Manual Data)]. Two or three supplementary raw material, for example, glass powder, soda ash etc., are able to contain in the above agent. Next, the above agent is added in accumulating mixer or topedocar before desulfurization of the blast furnace pig iron. Accordingly, slag discharging operation is carried out easily and efficiently. |
