<p>PURPOSE:To simultaneously obtain the information of flow and the information of a position in a slice surface by selectively exciting the spin in a certain area of a subject before a pulse sequence such as in the spin echo method, saturating such a part by means of the next pulse sequence, and discriminating it from the other spin. CONSTITUTION:By measuring a distance DELTAx (since the resolution of an MRI is 3mm/picture element, this is made larger than it) between the still spin being saturated and the flowing spin being saturated, a flow velocity (v) is given by v=DELTAx/(td+TE) (td: delay time, TE: echo time). Namely, by exciting the spin selectively in a section I and saturating it by means of the next pulse sequence, the spin is used as a tracer to be discriminatable, and the flow velocity is obtained from the dislocation between the still tracer and the flowing tracer. Except for the area excite in the section I, since an image is made into an ordinary image, the information related to the position between systems can be simultaneously obtained.</p> |
