<p>The short circuiting ring, for the bar winding of the rotor of an induction motor with a magnetic brake, has radial slots distributed around its circumference. These slots are displaced by a fraction of the rotor slot pitch w.r.t. the rotor slots and their width is less than that of the rotor slots. The ring slots are located in the centre between adjacent rotor slots and are filled with iron. A cover plate is located at the end face of the rotor bordering its laminar packet. The outer edge of this plate extends at least to the deepest point of the ring slots. The cover plate consists of numerous rotor laminae and extends at least partially over the inner region of the rotor slots.</p> |
