A recording device receptacle for folded paper does not use spring compression elements but gives reliable separation of lengths of paper in the stack and ensures minimal paper extraction vol. the paper can be inserted horizontally or vertically according to space availability. The hopper (3) cover (8) is a frame pivoting about an axis (14) parallel to the roller (1) guiding the extracted paper (2). Its arms support a guide bar (4) parallel to the roller (1) forming a paper guide channel to the roller in conjunction with a deflection plate (5). A stacker (7) beneath the roller (1) has a top plate (10) making an acute angle with the stacker vertical wall (18) furthest from the roller. For vertical stacking the hopper has a small vertical guide wall at the roller end of its bottom plate enabling the hopper to be pivoted for ease of paper insertion.
