In the combustion and calcining method, a fluidised bed is used for the calcining and combustion of waste, the inert material of the bed being resistant to oxidation, to sintering and to acid and base attacks up to 1000 DEG C. The waste to be treated is not delivered above or below the fluidised bed zone, but is delivered instead directly to the fluidised bed zone. The same fluidised bed is used both for the calcining and also for the combustion. The method permits a reduction in the volume of the residues. <IMAGE> |
