A seat arrangement 7 which can be raised and lowered and is preferably intended for a WC unit 1, comprises a base 8 which is intended to be placed beside the bowl 2 of the WC unit 1, and a seat 12 which can be raised and lowered and against which, in the raised position, a person can lean, and which seat can be lowered towards the bowl 2 so that the person in question is brought into a seated position on the bowl, or vice versa, and the seat 12, in the raised position, slopes forwards towards the front side of the unit 1 at an angle (a) in relation to the horizontal plane, and the seat 12, in the lowered position, is situated essentially in the horizontal plane. The seat 12 can be pivoted about a horizontal axis (A) which extends essentially at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the bowl 2 and which is situated a distance in front of the forward edge of the bowl 2. <IMAGE> |
