In the shank (1) of a boring tool, a semi-cylindrical carrier (2) is fastened in a cylindrical blind hole (3) by a retaining screw (11). An indexable insert (4) is held in the carrier by a clamping screw (8), which is screwed into a first screw thread (7) of the carrier. This screw thread extends perpendicularly to the top side of the carrier. Provided in the carrier parallel to the first screw thread is a second screw thread (10) into which the retaining screw extending through a bore (12) in the shank is screwed from below. <IMAGE> |
