<p>PURPOSE:To detect a direct current with high accuracy and good response, by making the saturation time of a saturable reactor magnetically coupled to a conductor through which the detected current flows, shorter than the non-saturation time in each period of AC power and by selecting a maximum transfomed current. CONSTITUTION:A saturable reactor is made of a winding 31 magnetically coupled through a core to a conductor 31 through which a detected current flows. An added current, which is based on an alternating current of AC power 61 applied to the winding 31 and depends on the turn ratio of a conductor 21 to the winding 31, flows to a load resistor 63 through a diode 71. When the alternating current is inverted, a subtracted current flows to the load resistor. This results in making the saturation time of the reactor longer than the non-saturation time. A first and a second control circuits 1, 2 made of two reactors generate maximum direct currents which have no slits and are not affected by magnetomotive forces due to bias windings 51-53. An amplifier 100 responds well with high accuracy to the output currents of the circuits 1, 2. A direct current is detected with high accuracy and good response through feedback windings 41-43 and a resistor 101.</p> |
