The machine has a vacuum chamber contg. a turntable rotated at high speed on a vertical axis (X-X). Coaxial with the table is a vertical runner shaft contg. impeller blades with rotate together with the shaft to fill a die located at a distance from axis (X-X); and the runner shaft has a top inlet funnel located below two melting chambers, each of which has a bottom outlet valve. The inner surfaces of the tubular runner shaft and its outlet channels to the die, plus the die cavity, are pref. all coated with heat resistant material, esp. tungsten; and the die cavity is pref. coated with carbide grains to obtain a rough surface. Both the die and its core are pref. cooled, e.g. with a circulating liq. coolant. Provides rapid filling of the die cavity, which is necessary for metal with high m.pt. such as steel.
