<p>A method of producing a patterned textile material comprises the steps of knitting fabric which includes an elastomeric yarn and a composite yarn, both formed into knitted loops and comprising an integral part of a coherent fabric structure, and wherein the composite yarn comprises two different kinds of non-elastomeric yarn, and treating the fabric in selected areas to remove one of the kinds of non-elastomeric yarn therefrom, for example by a burnt-out printing process, to produce the desired pattern in the finished fabric.</p> |
