Parking monitor with timer and VDU in motor vehicle - is triggered by engine shutdown and generates actuation pulse from contact of ignition switch

A parking monitoring system for motor vehicles has a timing mechanism coupled to a time display unit. The display unit is mounted inside the vehicle but is visible from the outside. The timing system can be activated by shutting off the engine or closing the door etc. It has no mechanical moving parts. The digital clock etc. are contained in a housing (1), which has a numerical display field (2, 3, 4). The digital clock can be activated by an electrical pulse which is generated by a contact on the ignition switch when the engine is switched off. The display instrument can be mounted on the dashboard so that it can be seen from the side of the windscreen. The instrument contains electronic counting and comparator modules which switch off the clock at a given time.
