PURPOSE:To prevent backlash in such a way that in a rotary transmission equipped with a worm and a worm wheel, other second worm and worm wheel are elastically interlocked. CONSTITUTION:A worm wheel 4 connected to an output shaft 3 is engaged with a first worm 2 connected to an input shaft 1. A second worm 8 is fitted to a third axle 5 which is orthrogonally crossed to the input shaft 1 and equiproportionally rotates through a set of bevel gear mechanisms 6, 7, and the second worm 8 is engaged with the first worm 2. Since the second worm 8 is in free command of sliding on the third axle 5, and repelled in the axial direction by a spring 9, the worm 8 has the worm wheel rotated in the direction of (A), meantime it slides in its contrary direction B and constantly touches the worm wheel 4. In addition, as they are connected together by a bevel gear mechanism, the worm wheel is never involved in reversed rotation. |
