The instant camera is of a lightweight construction and has developer spreading roller, at least one being made of moulded plastics in the form of a shell reinforced by insert layers or fibres. The surface of the roller is textured to provide improved grip. The reinforcing can be glass fibre strands or metal coils. The flexible roller provides a low drag drive and reduces battery drain. The improved grip surface provides an even process pressure and improved copies. The roller rigidity is also provided by proper dimensioning.
