摘要 <p>X-Ray intensifier TV device has a bright image producer connected to the input of a TV camera tube via a fibre optic, in teh cross-section of which there is a shutter, consisting of a layer with eelctrically-controllable transparency. The brightness can be regulated without reducing the cross-section, as occurs with a mechanical (iris) shutter. The equipment is esp. useful in medical X-ray diagnostic equipment. Pref. the layer has a transparency controllable between 1 and 95%. It consists of a double layer of LiF and WO3 between 2 transparent electrodes connected to a control device which reduces the transparency of the layer when the X-ray output of the tube increases. The layer is thinner than the cross-section of the fibre optic. Pref. each electrode is 100nm. thick and each other layer 300 nm. thick, whilst the dia. of the fibre optic is several 1000nm. esp. 6000nm.</p>
