PURPOSE:To reduce careless flaws of an image and to sharply draw an image with a delicate outline, by forming a photo-setting composition layer having photo-setting properties and also having hot melt properties in uncured states on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive thermal recording medium 1 consists of a substrate 2 and a photo setting composition layer 3 applied thereto. A photo- setting resin monomer in use has hot melt properties in photo-unset states. When a latent image 5 of image information is formed on the recording medium 1 by an exposure to light, any of the exposure methods of reflection type, transmission type, and electrical signal type is applicable. As a light source, a lamp covering the full range of 300nm-700nm can be used. When the medium 1 with the latent image 5 is overlapped on a transfer material 7 and heated by a heat source 8, the uncured part of the latent image 5 melts to be transferred to the transfer material 7, but the cured part fails to melt and transfer. In this manner, image information is recorded on the transfer material 7. The heat source 8 may be of planar type or roller type. |
