PURPOSE:To prepare a modified block copolymer resin composition having improved mechanical properties, and compatibility and adhesive properties, etc. with other resins, by grafting a block copolymer of a conjugated diene compound and a vinyl-aromatic compound with a maleic acid compound. CONSTITUTION:A block copolymer resin consisting of 70-97wt% of a vinylaromatic compound and 30-3wt% of a conjugated diene compound is grafted with a maleic acid compound, to obtain the objective resin containing <=1wt% of toluene- insoluble component. The resin has excellent mechanical properties, e.g. impact resistance, tensile strength, etc., transparency, adhesive properties and compatibility with other resins, and can be used as a molding material for various molded articles (e.g. containers, packaging materials).
