摘要 PURPOSE:To enable generation of a desired damping force of a software mode by constructing a damping force generating mechanism such that a software valve unit for a damping force software and a hardware valve unit for damping force hardware so as to have a functionally parallel construction by the use of a common valve stopper. CONSTITUTION:Pistons 1 and 15 provided on a piston rod 3 of a piston part are apparently in a serial construction, while the piston 1 is formed unslidably with a cylinder 2 remaining a gap D. The gap D, being an extension passage from oil chambers A, B inside and outside of the cylinder 2, reaches a space between an hardware valve unit arranged on a sliding contact type piston 15 and a software valve unit on the piston 1, and each passage of the respective valve units functions as a parallel passage. Operation oil in the oil chamber A passes through the software valve unit to generate a specified damping force when a rotary valve (changeover valve) 20 opens the passage of the software valve unit and the piston part goes leftward.
