PURPOSE:To improve the quality of the shadow mask by forming an inclined surface on each end of a half-etched part of a pick-off line to diminish rough edges and bent edges. CONSTITUTION:Inclined surfaces 11 are formed between a half etched part 5 and a continuous part 4 by cutting a pick-off line in the direction of the line. The inclined surfaces 11 are formed by etching after applying resist films 12 and 13 on respective surfaces of a steel sheet 1. This constitution facilitates steel sheet cutting and reduces rough edges and bent edges, thus improving th quality of the shadow mask. |
