An end plate (2) for a suction cleaner filter bag (13) is provided with an opening for accommodating a suction tube (6), the opening having a peripheral packing (1) for sealing engagement with the suction tube. The packing (1) is fixed on the plate (2) and, in order to enable the filter bag to be replaced whilst retaining a good sealing action around the suction tube (6), the packing (1) is made of a foamed elastomeric material.
