<p>Core operating mechanism for injection moulding machine with stationary plate and slide plate has a rigid frame, forming a seat. This is mounted on the slide plate between the stationary plate and the slide plate. A core bearing slide moves to and fro from the first position on the frame, in which position the cores mounted on the slide are withdrawn from the mould, and a second position in which the cores are slid into the corresponding mould cavity. Means are supported by the frame to move the slide between first and second position. Latching devices are positioned on the slide which have a latching arm that pivots on the slide and which has an outer end complementary to the frame accommodating seat. Means are provided to move the outer end of the latching arm in contact with this seat to latch the slide against movement in relation to the frame and the cores in relation to the mould cavity, independent of the force exerted for moving the slide to and fro. The latter can be operated to move the latching media from the engaged position, so as to allow for movement of the slide in relation to the frame and for withdrawing the slide in relation to the frame and the withdrawal of the cores from the mould cavity.</p> |
